How to Write a Services Page That Actually Gets People to Call

The majority of small business service pages in Naples do one thing: they list services. "We offer residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, move-out cleaning, and deep cleaning." That's information, not persuasion. And it rarely generates calls.

A service page that converts does something different. It explains what you do, who it's for, what the customer's problem is, why your approach solves it, and what to do next — in that order.

    The Structure That Works

Start with the problem, not the service. Most visitors arrive with a specific concern or frustration. "Your screen enclosure is showing rust, sagging, or torn screens" is a more compelling opener than "We install screen enclosures." The first creates immediate recognition. The second just states a fact.

Explain your approach specifically. Vague copy like "we use premium materials and professional craftsmanship" appears on every competitor's page. What specifically do you do differently? What materials? What process? What warranty? Specificity builds trust and differentiates you from competitors who say the same generic things.

Include social proof where the decision happens. Don't put all your testimonials on a separate review page — embed a one or two relevant quotes directly on the service page, at the point where a visitor is deciding whether to contact you.

Be explicit about service area. For Naples-based service businesses, your service page should explicitly mention the cities and communities you serve. "Serving Naples, Bonita Springs, Marco Island, Estero, and Fort Myers" tells both Google and your visitor exactly where you operate.

One clear call to action. Not three different buttons pointing to three different things. One primary action — typically "Request a Free Estimate" or "Get a Free Website & SEO Review" or "Call Now" — repeated two or three times throughout the page (top, middle, bottom).

    The SEO Element

Beyond conversion, your service pages are the pages most likely to rank for local service searches if they're structured correctly:

    • One H1 that includes your service and location ("Pool Cage Screen Repair in Naples, FL")
    • Two to three H2s that reflect what people actually search for
    • Natural use of keyword phrases throughout the copy
    • Meta title and description that match the page content
    • Internal links to related service pages and your contact page

A well-written service page does double duty: it converts visitors and it ranks in Google. Generic copy does neither.

    The Quickest Improvement

Read your current service page out loud. If it sounds like every other business in your category, it needs work. If it sounds specifically like your business, your market, and your customers — you're closer to the right approach.
